I believe the Westminster parliamentary model is by far the most functional form of governance on the planet.

Though, as Britain has recently shown, even the glorious mother of all Parliaments isn't immune to moronic voters.

In other news, apparently Kissinger is immortal. I had no idea he was still around.
At least he doesn't like Trump it seems. Good, the combination of those two is just too hard to contemplate.

Kissinger is/was a big fan of Clinton. Barf.

I suspect that Kissinger is a big fan of anyone who doesn't just spit in his face and tell him to go "fuck off and die".

Must be a short list.

Ok, I chuckled.

Man, what a bastard.

I'm wondering if he was ever proven to be right about anything at all.

I think he was the originator of the infamous 'domino theory' in Southeast Asia. The man has an impressive track record of wrong predictions.

Why does anyone, including the media, even pay any attention to what Trump says. If you ask him the same question in seven different contexts you end up with 21 different answers, some of them diametrically opposed to others. I genuinely doubt whether he actually has any ideas. He simply mirrors what he senses his audience at the specific instant wishes to hear. Admittedly he's very good at that. But alas for him that's not a virtue or ability but a serious personality disorder.
One good thing I really hope will come out of this is that the myth that successful business men and billionaires are something special will be dispelled once and for all. His first day in office, if it comes to that, will literally be the first day in his life that he will do any actual work.

As for Hillary, I think she should go for the recount. It's trivially easy to fake electronic results. At least compared to the good old paper system. And that data is definitely statistically significant.

Maybe. She'd have to flip at least three states for it to really matter. Unless she's really sure about the outcome, I suspect she won't risk being made to look like a sore loser. That said, she might be willing to sit quietly by and let someone else (e.g. Stein) demand a recount.

Trump seems quite supportive of gay people. Look at his face as he makes the final part of this speech. That final part seems to come from the heart. What do other people think?
