Yes, that's my take on it.

AG Sessions pre-emptively recusing himself - and possibly already perjuring himself - is what signals to me that this scandal is real and serious.

Now that the healthcare law he's been backing and pressing congressmen to pass appears to be doomed, any bets as to how long it will take Trump to come out against it and declare that he always opposed "Ryancare"?

He can't deliver. Support for government healthcare is at an all time high.

Another Trump travel ban blocked in courted: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/15/u...ravel-ban.html

Apparently, when you say that you're going to create a ban targeting a specific religion, and do create a ban which overwhelmingly effects only people of that same specific religion, it's difficult to convince people that the overlap is just coincidental.

We can now say with certainty that the FBI is formally investigating the sitting President of the United States for potentially illegal connections to the Russian government.

Indeed, so it begins. Not sure what your link is there for though.

Oops. Wrong URL. Oh well, it's there on any number of news sites.

I wonder if it will scare any GOP house members out of support for the AHCA.

So my question at this point is where does this all end?

Assuming Trump is guilty of something, what do we do? Round up the entire cabinet for being guilty of treason? This has the potential to get really ugly really fast.

I doubt there will be much stomach for a "treason" charge, at least based on what's happened thus far. It seems like the investigation is mostly focused on whether Trump and/or campaign staff colluded with Russia regarding the hacking of the DNC computers.

If Trump can be directly tied to that, I'd think that would be an impeachable offense. And the GOP-led House might even go through with it, figuring that they'd get Pence in the Whitehouse as a result.

Indeed it does - depending on the findings. If they are guilty of colluding with a foreign country in subverting an election, that would indeed be treasonous.

If it is less than that, then well, a couple of heads will roll, maybe someone goes to jail, but I doubt that.

I believe that's only because the Whitehouse and Republicans are working VERY HARD to limit the committee to looking at ONLY that. Whether they succeed in keeping a lid on the investigation, only time will tell.

If Trump goes down, it will be a sordid and very undignified exit, you can be sure of that!

That man does not accept defeat gracefully.
