They've confirmed Betsy Devos. If they confirm her, they'll confirm anyone.

Indeed.

Apart from probable death-causing appointments which carry more fear-factor (ie. Tillerson), Betsy Devos is by far the more horrible cabinet appointee who is guaranteed to do the most long term damage to the USA.

Kind of curious as to how much damage she will be able to enact. Education is often still largely state driven, I think. One of the many reasons there are wild disparities.

Well, given that Obama has been the worst Education president in modern history (with his best buddy Arne Duncan), and a full-blown charter/scam supporter, most of the damage has already been done.

But mark my words, there is still lots of room to transfer more public education resources to private pockets and that's what the whole Charter-scam is all about. It will be full steam ahead now. American still has lots of room to fall in education rankings. USA is going to give Mexico and El Salvadore a run for their money for who can have even less educated students. Forget competing with Finland and Korea.

Especially with Trump University scammer-in-chief running the White House.

15 fucking idiot Democratic Senators just voted in favor of confirming Mike Pompeo as director of the FBI. I hope every fucking one of them gets a serious primary challenger because they all deserve it.

The sorry list of idiots included idiot-in-chief Chuck Schumer.

After eight fucking years of watching a Republican Senate stonewalling everything and breaking every rule/norm in the book and gets massively rewarded by the voters, Schumer thinks that playing 'nice-guy-bipartisan' and supporting Trump is a politically winning strategy. The idiocy of this boggles the mind.

Either Schumer loves Republics, loves Mike Pompeo, loves Donald Trump, or is a fucking moronic idiot. Pick one.

Any Democratic Senator interested in running in 2020 better be able to prove that they voted against EVERY Trump appointee or they are going to get the full Hillary treatment from the Democratic party base.

Eh, but again a lot of that is state driven. I mean, here in Ohio, we are the wild wild west of Charter schools. That's been with the cooperation of the President (democrat), state government (Republican), and local government (usually democrat).

Other states have not been the same, though some have. I'm not defending President Obama's education policy with respect to charters, but they more empowered states to do bad shit than mandated it.

Rex Tillerson played the US Senate like Earl Scruggs played the banjo:
