One of my favorite authors.

Yes, I'd have to say that Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is one of my all-time favorite novels.

I have never enjoyed a James Bond film.

What do other people think?
The latest movie seems to perpetuate the evil homosexual stereotype. Not to go into too much details, but the bad guy being gay and bond being the quintessential straight guy rang well with the audience who were with me in the theater watching. And I remind everyone that I live in Lebanon where homophobia is rampant.

How anyone can sit through a James Bond film is beyond my understanding.

Well, how someone can spend so much time worrying about what other people do and enjoy is is beyond my understanding.

Different strokes for different folks.

Indeed. By the way, this is the only good scene in any James Bond film ever.

It should be pointed out that James Bond gets lots of free media adverising, and other films can only dream about that advantage. So that accounts for some of James Bond's popularity.

The Bond films have always stressed male female sexual activity with some spectacularly beautiful women.
