Also, the Vicar of Dibley about a woman vicar who is stationed in a small conservative village in England. Both a highly amusing, in my humble opinion.

![]() Well, i'll see if i can rent a single episode. But i was thinking of an action, drama or science fiction series. One series that i have been watching for the past 2 years on dvd was true blood. I am thinking of getting boardwalk empire.

Try Eureka http://www.syfy.com/eureka I've found it quite funny. Of course we don't own a tv, we just watch DVDs of shows that friends hand us. |

![]() Anything from HBO. Sopranos is amazing. Deadwood is amazing. Game of Thrones is amazing. Rome is really good (not quite as amazing as the others since most folks already know the story).
And AMC has some good shows. Mad Men is highly regarded, but we haven't had time to get into it. Breaking Bad is very, very good. The Walking Dead is the best horror series since the X-Files, but the writers aren't doing as great this year.

I personally just stopped enjoying the over inflated media, bullshit politics (bullshit is a nice description), drama shows on fake life, thieving religions and more. I do like comedy, action and adventure films and shows on occasion. So after having a tv with over 500 channels and barely a decent show to watch we just got rid of it and started enjoying life more. TV is a waste of serious time for me. Every minute I spend watching tv I could be learning something new, interacting with friends, practicing important skills or spending time with my family. I seriously believe that TV is a low point in human civilization evolution. |

![]() Last of the Summer Wine was another good northern English show from the 80s. Battlestar Gallactica (2005ish) was groundbreaking for effects but hit-or-miss on plot depending on if you like space soap opera or not. Star Trek: The Next Generation is also one of my favourites from the 90s. X-Files was also a great one in the 90s. I'm showing my penchant for sci-fi though.
