That might not be a bad way to run it because I have a feeling I'll mostly be subtracting points. If were solely up to me, the winner might just be stuck with their original twenty points

I'd imagine the other way would be interesting as well. I believe this way gives people more room to strategize over their own horse(s) and probably takes longer. The players are left to decide whether they want to spend their 'capital' building up a lead for the ones they like or getting rid of others, since there is not a zero sum game with the points.

A fair point. How do you know when it ends?

I think the list needs to be pruned first.

P.S. I wonder how long it will be before we come down to the showdown between Lincoln & FDR?

I also took the liberty of giving poor "Grover Clevelan" his "d" back that he lost after his first term in office.

Heh, I wonder if one Grover will long outlast the other.

When there's only one name left.

lol... I had all kinds of problems with the list formatting. I copied it from a site I found, and there was some kind of inline jpg that I had to delete. Once I deleted it though, there was no cursor. So, I was editing the entire list sans cursor, which is surprisingly difficult.

I deducted one from Reagan. Bush is too obvious and should only be in a list of shadow presidents. Reagan lies at the root of the financial madness of the last two-three decades and that claim of 'winning' the Cold War is second in megalomaniac arrogance only to "L'état, c'est moi".

I took the liberty of sorting the list according to points. Feel free to undo that if it's less convenient. Note also that I know next to nothing about the majority of these people.

Yeah, I thought this game might be a bit "America-centric"... we could start another one about world leaders or something more universal, in addition to this. Though one of the fun (or maddening) parts of the game is that you don't really need to know anything - justification is not necessary for your selection
