Default All Time Favorite Songs....

I thought I saw this somewhere on this forum, but maybe not.... To take off from our favorite movies, what are your all time favorite songs?

(Note: I'm a *tad* older than some of you, so some of these are really old. What the hell, maybe you heard your parents play them. Also, since the early 90's I've listened to a lot of Irish music, so this reflects that as well.)

Here goes. My favorites, in no particular order:

Marble Halls
--Enya

The Sounds of Silence

Default Re: All Time Favorite Songs....

My taste is rather eclectic. I'm not much of a music fan, but I do have some favorite songs.

As for age, I grew up with my parents listening to Anne Murray and/or Count Bassy & his Orchestra.

* * *

9th Symphony, by Beethoven (I hate the 4th movement though)

White Rabbit, by Jefferson Airplane (all-time favorite song)

Low Spark of High Heeled Boys, by Traffick

Baba O'Reilly, by The Who (aka Teenage Wasteland)

Have a Cigar, by Pink Floyd

Paint it Black, by The Rolling Stones

A Day in the Life, by The Beatles

Blue Monday, by New Order

Situation, by Yaz/Yazoo

Seven Nations Army, by White Stripes

That's 10 so I'll stop there. I never get bored of these particular songs - I can listen to them over and over again.

I am like you in the sense of not being a music fan and having an eclectic taste, and like those songs as well.
Btw, its "Seven Nation Army" not seven nation's army.

A Day in the Life is an interesting choice, and certainly not a bad one. I'll have to sleep on it a while to see if I can come up with choices.
