Rained here today and the timing and amount was just right. The soy are sprouting nicely and everything else is awesome. I'll have to get some pics of the greenhouse tomatoes up. They look amazing but I'm a little embarrassed about the weeds in there

Yet another absolutely fucking beautiful summer day!

Its been 80-85 degrees F and clear blue skies for about the last 7 days in a row.

The humidity level is fairly high, but not quite extreme levels.

We had some UNREAL storms last night. Woke me up as soon as I got to bed. Bone rattling thunder. Helped cool off our sweltering room though.

Temperature has been rising. Its been around 90 for the last few days and apparently the forecast for the next few days is even hotter (95-100) with the humidity going through the roof.

This is my kind of summer!

Rain last night, one lighting cell , 68 at 4PM, 36% humidity. Clear skies for the next week, daytime temps in the 80s, high 50s at night with low humidity and the usual 3-10mph breezes. My kind of summer.

This is one long sweet heat wave! A few thunder clouds here and there, but otherwise very hot and humid.

One thing that is noticably different is the lack of smog here in the city - apparently the Ohio Valley coal plants have been cutting back and that was the number one source for smog here - Toronto is in a bit of a basin which is why we are sheltered from most bad weather, but like LA, being in a 'basin' has its drawbacks with the smog-trap in the summer heat. Anyway, less blow in from Ohio means less trapped smog here and the difference is remarkable.

So, is it true? You heard about any reduction in coal-fired generating in the Ohio Valley?
