Yeah I tend to find that sort of friend-helping-friend mentality works out pretty well.

A guy I haven't really seen in years outside of a couple protests called me the other day asking if I could come help him move a couch. I did. Why? Because I could.

He did offer me ice-cream, but I had places to be so I couldn't stick around.

The woman that is going to take our engagement pics is going to do them for free. I offered to pay her but she just wants to use our pics for advertisement (you all know we are such a hot couple ). She did some beer would be sufficient as payment, but wasn't necessary.

Bloody cold here for June! The high here today might have been around 15C (59F) but it lasted for about an hour in the afternoon. The rest of the day was around 10C (50F) and windy. The transplants are not happy with us. The only things prospering are the greenhouse inhabitants (tomatoes, eggplants, hot and bell peppers). We've barely had to open the windows so far but are getting temps around 35C (95F) by 10:00 a.m. so that's not bad, considering that I haven't weather-proofed all the cracks around the windows and doors. All this talk of pole shift is starting to make me wonder

Rain last night, today and tomorrow. Very pleasant in the low 70s, high 50s at night. The sound of the river with open windows and rain on the roof makes for deep sleep.

Seems to be heating up here. Occasional thunderstorms, but then right back to blue skies and sunshine.

78, 6-10mph wind, 34% humidity, clear blue skies and 49 tonight. Forecast is identical for the next ten days.

RV and camp sites are full throughout the state, moderately priced motel/hotels are doing a brisk business and the homeless are stretching charity provider resources. Summer in Oregon.

What does loving a regular job have to do with fucking gorgeous weather?

And yes, it is absolutely gorgeous weather we are having here lately. Forecast is the same for next week.

When I was working an election this time last year I was working 12+ hour days 6-7 days a week.

Right now I'm on my couch.
