Default Has Trump fooled Putin?

Has Trump fooled Putin? According the HimHimselfAndHe, Putin helped Trump get into the White House. Since then, Trump has changed his tune on NATO and Syria, and neither of the changes are the kind of changes that one would imagine Putin to appreciate. So the question is - was Putin fooled by Trump? I say yes.

And in the Duma, our parliament, there was wild applause when Trump's victory was announced

You want the truth, my dear American friends? Yes, Russia helped Trump win. We did. And many of us are even proud of it. Because, for us, this is, above all, payback. What you feel now? This is how many here felt 20 years ago, in 1996, when the Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov was winning our Presidential Election, and America, afraid, perhaps, of another Communist government, interfered covertly and helped the drunken idiot Yeltsin secure another term, another horrible, disastrous 4 years in Russia's history...

I was too young to vote then. I care less about all that. But, I understand those who do. They were robbed, back then. Now, is their revenge... You fucked up our election, now we fucked up yours. Sais la vie. Sorry...

Putin didn't just fall off of a cabbage truck.

It seems very doubtful that he would put a lot of faith in a two-bit hustler, a rich hustler, or someone in between.

I think perhaps Trump is going to prove less useful than Putin had thought because of how fucking unstable he is.

Are you ascribing unfoolability to him? I wouldn't ask but for the title of the thread which that appears to me to be answering.

I don't know about that, but as you'll see from the quote in the initial posting, HimHimselfAndHe appears to think he put a lot of faith in Donald Trump.

It does indeed seem as if Trump's usefulness to Putin will be negligible.

Putin, like a lot of us, may have had hopes that the US under Trump would stop insisting that Russia is an enemy, but it wouldn't it have been more of a "trust, but verify" thing than some kind of blind faith?

You mean to say you think all that activity that HimHimselfAndHe ascribes to Putin was all about getting White House rhetoric to change, and that Putin wasn't surprised by Trump's u-turns since? Well, that's a theory.

Nah, I don't agree with the MeMyselfandI/Rachel Maddow theory that Putin helped Trump win.

I agree with Julian Assange and John McAfee that the Russians had nothing to do with the election result. After all, Hillary did win the popular vote.

Julian Assange was one of the primary conduits the Russians were using.

Do you have a link to a credible source corroborating that?

You need a link to prove that Wikileaks was the repository and distributing point for the Russian email hack of the DNC server? Really? I'd have thought that was common knowledge.
