Default Taxing land not income

This economics (http://www.irishexaminer.com/busines...is-320935.html) student offers his response to Thomas Piketty's thesis in that the problem of inequality comes down to landlords and how much revenues they are reaping from land appreciations.

His solution is to tax land ownership.

It is interesting that in countries Like israel land cannot be owned, only leased for 99 years.

Maybe this will be the way to go with land and natural resources. So that we don't have a class of people who own much of the world. The earth belongs to everyone, not just to the ones who stacked their claim first.
