That is very funny, Pestilence. Now, let me show you real Russian transport.

Buses (well, I did not see your photo up there, maybe your link did not work), but, here is what real Russian public bus lookы like:

Moscow public bus

Sochi public bus

New KAMAZ-made "Olimp" buses in Vologda

Boats:

A cruise ship of the Saint Peter Line, a Russian cruise company which runs cruises from Saint Petersburg to Scandinavia

High-speed passenger vessels on underwater wings:

"Meteor" class, which serve the waterways of Saint Petersburg

"Kometa" class, which transport passengers on Siberian rivers

And "Raketa" class, which work around Moscow

And now, in August, at the factory in Rybinsk, a 120 passenger underwater wing ship, "Kometa-120M"
was laid down.

Cars, yes, Russian automaking is not doing very well. Will not touch it, in fact.

But trains, our trains are great, thank you.

The "Sapsan"

The "Lastochka"

And Russia's newest "Ed-4M" commuter train

And Swiss company Stadler Rail is building new double-deck trains for express lines from Moscow to all our airports

They will replace the current Airport Express trains

As for planes, we have the Sukhoi Superjet, a nice plane, for a company that typically builds combat aircraft

lol

Aeroflot flies them now

So, yes, that is Russian transport, the real one.

We can create great concept cars, sure.

Many men here have "golden hands" with car mechanics, if you live in a working class neighborhoods, you look out your window, early in the morning, and you will see the average Ivans tinkering with their Ladas before work, often, their sons and neighbors and whoever else would join in, it is something men here like to do together
hehe

Ladas are legendary, though old. they are not made, they are born
lol

But our regular auto industry

is not on par with the rest of the world. The new Ladas, Kalinas and Prioras, pictured, are nowhere near foreign cars, in quality.

And VAZ, the Lada maker, our number one car company, are much behind. They only stopped manufacturing the classic Ladas
in August 2011! These are cars based on a 1960s Fiat!

I am not sure Russian car-making has a future. Government will not shut them down, because there are too many jobs in the industry. The VAZ factory in Toliatti employs 131,000 people, it is the center core of that city

everything revolves around it.

The GAZ factory

employes 25,000 workers

and is vital to the economic survival of the city of Nizhny Novgorod.

GAZ, fortunately, has a reliable fall back, in military contracts, for armored vehicles and such

Russian automakers have always been good at military vehicles. It is civilian ones that always troubled them, because those need comfort and such, not only power and reliability. Russians have never been adept at comfort. :-)
