EYESORE: Triangeln, Malmö. Sweden

"ART". This is still on display today. It is a discoloured kitchen cabinette set on one of the main city squares.

Too many to list them all, here in Moscow. Basically, most new buildings put up in Yuri Luzhkov era.

Another temporary, artistic display in Malmö. This one in the canal. It was anchored so it pivoted with the tide. It was removed last year. Interesting.

That's odd. Why do I get the feeling that the "panel of architects" really hates the architect of this building and just want to screw him over with this nomination?

I'd say that's a fine looking building. I can't imagine what the problem is.

Indeed, we're talking about Russia here where you can find some of the ugliest buildings in the world - they've even got their own style-name (aka Soviet Brutalism).

You have no idea. You should see it in its position among all of the subdued buildings around it. It's like the proverbial sore thumb,
screaming for attention. I'm surprised the pavement
round it isn't drenched in vomit.
