How is that any different from being unconscious?

The thing you have to realize is that when you're unconscious, you're just as unaware of your existence as you would be when you're dead. The whole premise of being under an anesthetic (literally) is that you're unable to sense stimulus from your nervous system being inhibited similarly to when it shuts down from death.

Existence awareness is nothing but that. The only way you can say there's something different between being unconscious and being dead is if you're willing to admit that personhood has an abstract level, yet the environment doesn't support abstraction.

Otherwise, there wouldn't be anything wrong with say killing people in their sleep in order to reduce demand for a food supply.

Lightbulb "The Toxic Avenger" (1984)

"Tromaville has a monstrous new hero. The Toxic Avenger is born when mop boy Melvin Junko falls into a vat of toxic waste. Now evildoers will have a lot to lose" (source of film summary: Internet Movie Database [IMDb]).

Just imagine --- a man falls into a terrible pit of manmade toxic waste, no doubt a symbol of human sloth, and arises transformed (rather, mutated) and motivated to become an icon of Earth vengeance.

The boundaries of humanism eco-activism establishes geometric bounded regions of resource management and ecology discussion. When these boundaries are violated by fanaticism or frustration, we may release the proverbial perceptual demon of Leviathan.

Leviathan refers to an ancient dragon of chaos and the great philosopher Thomas Hobbes wrote in his relevant socio-political treatise "Leviathan" (1651) that when man seeks to constantly revise social contracts, man's instinct to reinvent boundaries is revealed and the dangers of chaos are confronted.

Perhaps "The Toxic Avenger" (1984) is a modern age Leviathan totem that serves to stir dialogue about governance cartooning.

Be wary of the beast that evades 'neat detection.'

Lightbulb Aurora Borealis: Brain Nourishment

An aurora is a natural light display in the sky (from the Latin word aurora, "sunrise" or the Roman goddess of dawn), especially in the high latitude (Arctic and Antarctic) regions, caused by the collision of solar wind and magnetospheric charged particles with the high altitude atmosphere (thermosphere). In northern latitudes, the effect is known as the aurora borealis (or the northern lights), named after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for the north wind, Boreas, by Galileo in 1619 (source: Wikipedia).

Witnessing the aurora borealis is an under-rated event in the catalog of human perception based environmentalism consciousness optimism.

That is to say, we always say things like, "Ecosystem management is catalyzed by humanity's perception of global warming," but rarely say things like, "Taking care of Earth vegetation is valuable, since flora and fauna highlight some of the best aspects of photography."

Post Eco-Terrorism

Enviropessimism can also be catalyzed by a general perception of resource mismanagement and cynicism towards industrialization.

Such feelings can give rise to eco-terrorism sentiments and lead people to radical or even dangerous notions of mercantilism subversion.
