Does anyone have any? What about this one? People who are so rich that they don't have to work, might intend to fill their time with worthwhile productive activities, but in reality, end up just buying pleasure goods/services. (Please bear with me ![]() Any more?

![]() There are none. Everything which can befall a rich person can also befall a poor person. The only difference is that money makes any situation far easier to resolve.

![]() Okay, I'll try another suggestion.
Someone who isn't rich can be more confident that their romantic partner has chosen them for them, rather than for their money. Any comments on that suggestion?

Btw, it is part of psychology literature that women are inclined to choose a man they perceive as being a good 'breadwinner' when they are looking for a husband. Not all women of course, but this is just a general truism.

I know that Madame Bovary and Anna Karenina are fictitious stories, but they, in their descriptions of marriages where the partner gets bored with their well-off but unbeloved partner, reflect reality, in my humble opinion.

But even should that be true, I do think that a partner who has chosen one for oneself, and not for one's wealth, brings far more happiness, and far less unhappiness. And frankly, I think that is obvious.
