Btw, my only complaint about the trip is the standard one everyone says about France - lots of dogshit on the sidewalks wherever you go.

The first week we had so much rain that it washed it away. But a few dry days brings it out. I can well imagine that it would stink bad in the hot summer months.

Overall, it has been a wonderful trip. The scenery, old medieval cities, seaside towns, fabulous churches, great food, great wine and a pretty damn decent rail service. The boardwalk in Nice is a fantastic place to go 'people-watching' which is always an interesting thing to do when travelling.

We met some nice people and enjoyed fantastic walks exploring around various towns. Turin was especially nice. The pope's palace in Avignon was also a real pleasure to see. Anyway, flying back tomorrow.

Did Wiki mention that the precipitation in London comes down as drizzle and mist all day every day, while it Rome it only rains in heavy showers AT NIGHT?

Wouldn't it be a better idea to click the link and read and find out for yourself, instead of asking me to do it for you? I mean really!

I made up the part that rain only comes down in Rome at night, and the rest is speculation, so unless this goes viral and is picked up by TV news reporters, these are not a hard facts.
