My job involves 9 hours of contiuous work on the system. Is it advisable to work on the desk top or lap top?

To me that would depend on what type of work you're doing relating to the screen size and system resources you require.

Seems like a lot of fruitless work signing up on N. American forums to pitch a uni guide for India.

Definitely desk top. Far better for egonometrics and eyesight - not to mention that desk tops have better cooling systems and thus have longer lifespans that are better suited to prolonged or continuous work requirements.

Laptop and Desktop both are really good for communication and good for people. Laptop is superb for all because we can easily keep with us. It is easy to use and It has superb features like It can start without electricity.

if you are a type of person that travels a lot then you should consider laptop or else desktop but you can have them both.

Normally this requirement is depending on the person and his work. But I prefer you to keep desktop as your primary machine. Because laptop doesn’t give the performance as it’s labeled.
