I want one! It looks so cuddly and not at all intimidating like capybaras.

Really? According to the biologist, "It's a true rat, the same kind you find in the city sewers." At three feet long, I figure one of those could take your hand off at the wrist if it wanted to.
I think capybara look infinitely more cuddly:
