How do you call in English a figure which is followed by 12 zeros ?
And one by 11 zeros ?

One trillion.
And one by 11 zeros ?
One hundred billion.
(This is the American system. The Brits would call that 12 zero figure a million million or a 'true billion'. It appears that the American system is far more popular.)

No, it would be a 'true billion' according to the Brit system. What Americans call a billion is a 'thousand million' to the Brit system.
Like I said, the American system seems to be the standard one - even the Brits tend to use it.
I'm just describing both systems as that might be the origin of Sucre's question.
