As of this morning 205,000 marijuana plants have been seized on the California/Oregon border:

Record marijuana grow pulled up by the roots in Siskiyou County | marijuana, siskiyou, county - Top Stories - (http://www.ktvl.com/articles/marijuana-1191647-siskiyou-county.html)

11 different grow sites, all drip irrigated and no suspects. Whoever financed it had to have an army of workers in there just doing the set-up. Assuming 2-pounders, that's over one-billion dollars of weed at pound prices.

LE is, of course, blaming it on Mexican cartels even though there are no suspects.

Wow!

That's a big operation. It must be the Mexicans, of course, it always is "someone" projected as an outsider. ;)

That's The American Way; blame someone else.

I bet a lot of the workers, at least, were immigrants. ;)

Have to be. No way most locals will work that hard and heaven forbid they'd have to be away from their TV for even one night.

The workers for local guerrilla grows (100-200 plants) here are called 10-percenters. From soil prep time (April) through harvest (early October) they literally live in the remote mountains under some pretty harsh conditions. Most grows are ten well-concealed, well-separated plants to a plot and plots are 1/4-1/2 mile apart. 10% of $300-600k makes for some very tough hombres where even $8/hr jobs are scarce.
