For all those people tired of endless discussions of American warmongering, here's a nice change of pace - lets discuss Canadian warmongering! :D
Canada in Arctic show of strength
Canada is launching a series of military exercises in the Arctic far-north region of the country.
The so-called sovereignty operation is designed to show a visible presence in the resource-rich area, amid competing claims among other nations.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is expected to join in some of the exercises later in the week.
Asserting Canadian sovereignty in the Arctic has been a priority for Mr Harper's conservative government.
'Show of strength'
Operation Nanook will see the Canadian Armed Forces involved in sea, land and airforce operations in the country's eastern Arctic territory.

This a blatantly obvious attempt by Canada to militarize the Arctic.
Ottawa eyes Arctic co-operation with Danes as Harper heads north
OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper heads north Monday for his annual Arctic pilgrimage, a trip that comes as Canada and Denmark begin exploring closer military co-operation in the barren region.

Not only is Canada seeking to militarize the Arctic, they are now apparently engaged in building up military alliances in the region with other local superpowers - obviously planning some kind of partnership to divy up the spoils.
Such militarization of the Arctic can't be considered benign or peaceful. This newly rising Canadian-Danish Axis of Arctic Domination does not bode well for Arctic peace - or for prospects of global warming.
It would appear that militarization of the Arctic is only the first phase. Commercialization of the Arctic is obviously the primary goal here.
Any thoughts or comments upon these warmongering actions of the newly formed Canadian-Danish Axis of Arctic Domination?
