I saw Bruno yesterday.

Now I particularly enjoyed Borat and that kind of satire amuses me immensely so I also enjoyed Bruno - very similar types of movies.

Though I must say, I can well imagine many people wouldn't like this movie or that the profressional gay groups might get their knickers in a knot over this - or are tying themselves in knots trying to decide if this movie is demeaning to gays or not.

But if you liked Borat, this movie is hilarious.

I saw Borat, so I can imagine Bruno. And please, I really hope the gay community doesn't go batshit over this. Judging from what I've seen in the previews, there are plenty of "Brunos" in real gay life. Take in a Pride parade in any city, you'll find them.

From what I've read, they are apparently torn with indecision on the issue. :D

They know it is satire, but it cuts a bit too close in too many directions for them to like it very much I think. ;)

I'd suspect it is somewhat like an intelligent rightwinger who knows it is satire watching Stephen Colbert. Funny... but...

Yes, certainly.

Btw, the Toronto Gay Pride parade (one of the biggest in North America with a million people) marches very close by to where I live (like about 300 yards away), so yes, I'm familiar with the type. :D

I can't wait to see it. My friend said Borat was better, But Bruno looks VERY funny. I love it when homophobes and other idiots get punked!!!!!

Yes, I'd have to say that Borat was the 'better' film. But this one is just as rude and funny.

I thought it was rather unfunny and overly focused on being provocative than entertaining.
Though, the "Straight Dave" gag was rather good.

Rather like US news media - provocative rather than informative.

Though, the "Straight Dave" gag was rather good.
Yes, some very good gags in between quite a few lame/stupid ones.

Much like most comedy shows/movies.
