I have never started a thread on the death of a celebrity before but i had her poster on my wall for many years as a young & very horny teenage boy..

Seeing the news of her death made me feel deeply nosgtalgic for the 70's and 80's....

Yes, Farah (along with Cheryl Ladd) were the ultimate supermodels of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Seems like every boy in North America at that time had pictures of one or the other or both. (I had Cheryl Ladd)

I had also heard that Farah had been suffering various bouts of cancer for quite a while now.

I believe the tv show that catapulted her to fame was called "Charlie's Angels" (I'm no expert, so don't quote me on this).

I just saw a little 'tribute' to Farah Fawcett on the entertainment show that comes on after the 6 o'clock news.

Anyway, they showed that picture of Farah in the OP and said it was the launch of Farah's career a year or so before she appeared in Charlie's Angels.
