Okay, the ultimate forum thread question... which one is better?

That's a tough one. I think of Star Wars as being more of a fantasy series rather than Sci/Fi. I would say three of the six Star Wars movies are better than any of the Star Trek movies but four of the Star Trek movies are better than the three lesser Star Wars movies. Also Star Wars hasn't done anything comparable to the shows. TOS was fantastic considering it's time and budget and I absolutely love The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. I'm thinking. :ummm:

Personally, I kinda like the whole 'campish comedy' aspect of the original Star Trek series as well as the original trilogy of Star Wars. Tough choice between the two of them!
Both are masterpieces in that particular genre I should think!

I mentioned it in the Star Trek thread, but I've never seen a Star Trek movie. I have seen a few episodes of The Next Generation, but that was years ago.
Star Wars, on the other hands, I've seen many times. I'm just talking the original trilogy though. That's good stuff.

Star Trek.
For the original series. I haven't seen much of it after that. Star Wars is pfhh uhmmm average entertainment.

Tough choice. I love both because they have such rich backgrounds and settings.
I actually like the new Star Wars trilogy. As with the original trilogy, the second movie was the best. Nice plot twists (nothing too shocking) and lots of darkness help set them apart. Also, I like the visual aspect of the series. The huge vessels and sets really make the power of the characters stand out.
Star Trek is hit and miss. The original may have been groundbreaking, but I'm an '80's baby, so it bores me. Don't get me wrong: I respect the series. I just need more. That's why I was happy to watch TNG throughout it's run. My favorite was DS9, though. It brought in a lot of political intrigue that the others could only hint at. It set the bar too high for half-assed attempts to start other shows, like Voyager and Enterprise.
Anyway, the two are just too different to compare fairly. I enjoy the fantasy of both universes. :D

Voyager is worth watching in my opinion. Enterprise had some really good episodes but also some really bad ones. It was the weakest of all of them.

My router's security is too strict. I'm not lowering it as I'm now completely impervious to malware, including backdoors. Besides, it's the principle of the things that annoys me.

I think he means the principle of not being able to watch it on YouTube since he isn't in the U.S.

You should shoot yourself for that sentence. Just look at it. It just gushes "hipster scum." I'm ashamed for you.

I happened to notice that stuff in the grocery store and thought about how crazy expensive it is and did the research mainly because I thought it had to provide immortality at that price. I've never tasted or bought any thank you very much. :)
