OK budding intellectuals I am fully aware that there was even graffiti on blocks at the pyramids put there by the slaves. So relax.

I hate graffiti. I hate it with a passion. I hate the low life trash who vandalize our cities, destroying anything from public transport to signs and buildings.
What scum this element is.
Why is this allowed and why aren't punishments more severe?
Anyone been to Singapore? There is NO graffiti. None. Why you might ask having just come from trash city New York?
It is because of the punishments.
Thrown into jail to do serious time waiting for the pain to subside from the flogging you got.

Course back home where we all live, it isn't just a social economic thing. Graffiti in Perth for instance is worst in the affluent suburbs. Their parents are lawyers, politicians, judges, high up figures in society who make sure that punishments are minimal or non existent as it might be their own son that is caught.

Catch this scum.Advertise their names. Beat them, incarcerate them and throw away the key. It will stop where you live like it did in Singapore.

Some of it is just junk, but some of it is an artform.
A few works from Banksy:

I have not graffitied anything, though I wouldn't rule it out.

I love Graffiti. When I was in Quito I made an entire facebook album devoted to different interesting graffiti that I found. There it was less art and more political/social statements though. Both are good for me.

Here's the thing: some buildings are art and should not be defaced. Some buildings, however, are utilitarian concrete boxes, and graffiti does them a service.

Whether the buildings are beautiful or ugly if they are defaced without the owner's consent, it is criminal vandalism and a crime.

Alas, I have no artistic skills whatsoever.

What isn't a crime these days. If I drive over 20pmh in a street with a school at 3am it's a crime too. Pretty soon, if I'll light up a cigarette in my own house when there's another living creature within a mile radius I'll be doing 3 to 5.
The point being that the term 'crime' is being used extremely loose nowadays.

So is smoking pot, or two persons of the opposite gender living in the same abode in some states.

That argument won't fly with me.
