Vaclav Havel has died aged 75.
Vaclav Havel was the first president of the democratic Czech Republic. Before the Czech Republic came out from under the evil, Orwellian regime of the Soviet Union, Havel was very active in the struggle to bring down this bunch of arseholes and he spent a long time in prison.
He is one of the reasons why I cannot help being proud of being a European.
The Soviet Union, Saudi Arabia and other disgustingly evil regimes will never prevail as long as we appreciate the efforts of people such as him.

Today, the Czech Republic is an UPSTANDING MEMBER OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, and evil will never get its grubby little hands on it again.

Have you read anything Havel wrote about being President of Czecho? Or that Czecho split up after his term?

I admired Havel and he was a fine man, but lets be honest - he was a failure in office. Same old successful revolutionary problem, those who make good revolutionaries tend to make lousy politicians after the revolution.
