Blagojevich impeachment trial

I caught some of Blagojevich's media rounds this morning and just thought it was surreal. He was sitting there on The View (hopefully the last time I will ever tune into that program) next to Whoopi Goldberg and two other morons and was asked to do a Richard Nixon impression. What the hell? He thought The View would be a good forum to defend himself? This guy just amazes me.

As far as the actual trial goes, he's been claiming the proceedings are unfair and he isn't being allowed to defend himself. Of course, he never mentioned that he decided to ignore the deadline to file for documents and witnesses. He chose not to show up and to have no legal counsel present at the trial. It looks like it'll be a pretty swift trial, and he'll be booted out of office. It's great.

For anyone interested in watching the proceedings, here's a link. I think they're submitting written questions right now, so there won't be anything to see for another 20-30 minutes.

He is most definitely delusional. His claim now is that this whole ordeal is primarily a conspiracy by the legislature to raise taxes in the state of Illinois!
