"Brother" and "Brother 2" (1997 and 2000) cult movies made in Russia that the talk about military and PTSD and alcohol and all that reminded me.
It is about Danila Bagrov, a young man who comes back from the army, from Chechnya, to his home in Saint Petersburg, to find his brother, Viktor

Viktor, however, is not exactly a nice guy. He is known as 'Tatarin' ('The Tatar'), and makes his living as a hitman, for the mafia.
He quickly sees that Danila is confused, sufferring from psychological issues; and pulls him into the business. Danila starts killing for him
