Do you guys read editorials in newspapers on a regular basis? Most of my local papers just offer conservative editorials but online I read Thomas Friedman at The New York Times website pretty regularly.

Sometimes I wander over to the Huffington Post for warm and fuzzies but usually I don't bother.

I read the Chicago Tribune fairly often, and I always read the opinion page when I do. In a lot of ways, I find the opinion page the most interesting part of the paper. I like the Tribune's Steve Chapman, but I'm sure it's because he holds opinions similar to my own. That being said, I do read opinions and editorials in other papers, but it's nice every once in a while to read someone in the mainstream whom I usually agree with.

I prefer editorials that are less partisan actually because much of the time I discover connections that I had not made and it allows me to look at things in a way I wouldn't have otherwise. I think that is why I like Friedman so much. Krugman is very progressive but I like it that he focuses on economics. I also read David Brooks. If only more conservatives where not like him. Does The Chicago Tribune put it's editorials online?

Yeah, the Tribune has all its print content online. Here's Chapman's most recent column:

Cool. I noticed The Christian Science Monitor puts pretty much all syndicated columns online but it would take too long going through them all and figuring out which ones I like.

I always read the op-eds in The Economist, plus I read the ones in our local papers. Toronto has four big daily newspapers (Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, Toronto Sun (tabloid) and The National Post) that are always lying around our lunchroom at work so I like to read the op-eds for each of them - nice variety there ranging from corporate-right, populust right, liberal-centerist and liberal-left.
