And here I thought this was something about the University of Kentucky, not some man and a damn snapping turtle!

My stepdad and I caught a snapping turtle one time. Dino lived in our bathtub for two days before he was beheaded. Poor bastard, but he was meaner than a striped snake.

He has my undying respect. Sincerely, what a perfect example of a truly awesome hunter. He is one step above the men who use bows to hunt deer. This is assuming that he eats all that he catches or sells the meat of all that he catches.

Seems like a popular Kentucky sport with t-shirts, news coverage, etc. Maybe it just hasn't caught on with the university crowd.

Not sure if you're being silly or serious, but anyways I have yet to see any of those things listed involving snapping turtles.

I've used chainsaws for decades, know loggers who used them all their lives and never heard of anyone knocking out their teeth using one. He is indeed a rare individual.

I imagine he was being reckless and stupid and it kicked up and the back wacked him in the face. He's lucky he wasn't hit with the blade.

No, everywhere in and out of the South I've lived has its share of hicks. Different regional accents but still marching to a different drummer.
