View Full Version : Who Am I ?

Hello one & all.
I do not usually make introductory threads - I prefer to let my posts speak for themselves - but here goes.
Politically speaking, I guess that I am a free agent.
I tend to cast my votes in a balance-the-scales philosophy.
So, of course, I voted Democrat the last election cycle.
I am very disappointed in the lack of accomplishments to date.
You will come to find that I usually point out those disappointments - so I hope that none of you take offense when I speak ill of the POTUS.
He let us all down in not living up to his own hype.
I see that this board has many topics besides politics - that is good; I have varying interests.
I also like the fact that site is not too big - been there done that.
I do see some familiar names from those travels. I am sure that I have made acquaintances with others, but your names have been changed to protect the innocent.
Anyways, that is about it.
I never take myself, nor these forums, too seriously.
Please keep that in mind when reading my posts.

Greetings!
We are honored that you are breaking with tradition and granting us an introduction! :)
And I think you will find this site is chock full of people who supported Obama but now are quite disappointed in his performance. Fair critique of POTUS is always welcome here. I was a Hillary supporter, so I've never been much of a fan of Obama.
And yes, diversity of topics here is part of management's plan to try to avoid the 'toxic' character that all political forums seem to degenerate into eventually. Pure politics seems to attract the trolls. A diversified topic forum hopefully will reduce the likelihood of that.
Anyway, welcome to the forum and make yourself comfortable. We're a pretty easy-going bunch here, but we do enjoy good quality discussions. :)

Right on. I don't take myself all that seriously either. Why bother?
Welcome!

Welcome! I had high hopes for Pres. Obama, but I am disappointed in his performance, too. You aren't alone.
I take my cooking very seriously. :p

welcome. Like WPhelan I'm deadly serious all the time. living is serious business ...
but when it comes to American politics I just shrug ... he's better than the previous guy ... so on the international stage we are grateful for that!
THis is a friendly place, and I think there is room for some very intersting discussions here, although I have been very slack and not utilising my brain as much as I could .. but I will ....

Hello. You sound interesting. What are some of the other forums you've visited? PF or PCF by chance?

And hello to you.
I am interesting, if I do say so myself.
I have darkened the doorways of several other forums, although not under the quise of Mind's Eye.

Your avatar reminds me of TheCreepyApostate at PCF. Anyhow, I use a different username at PF and a completely different personality..makes things more interesting.
