Given that we are entering a recessionary phase (aka a 'bear market'), this is an article that proposes to rate several notoriously 'recession-proof' sectors. :D

Apparently sex, strippers and prostitution are the best bets for a recessionary economy. Who knew?

I actually saw a article that says that in some ways people are healthier in a recession because they do not splurge on goodies as much, exercise more, and watch out for their kids more.
